Profile:
I have trained as a speaking examiner and this enables me to give students a realistic mock test, accurately assess their level, and make suggestions about how to increase their band score. I give written feedback including a model answer for the part 2 question and suggestions for part 3. I am highly skilled at helping students with their fluency and pronunciation, and developing higher level vocabulary and grammar. I really enjoy teaching and it seemed that my students enjoy having me as a teacher, too.
I have extensive experience, having taught English in Qingdao in China as well as in Bangkok, to name just two of the more well-known places I have taught. Before teaching English, I was an instructor in the Western Australian Police Academy and also worked as a workplace instructor in a range of fields. I have trained as an examiner and all of this, as well as my extensive range of academic qualifications enables me to give students a realistic mock test, accurately assess their level, and make suggestions about how to increase their band score. I pride myself on developing unique, practical solutions for each individual student. I give written feedback and always try to provide students with an improvement plan as a component of that feedback.
