  Do we need to provide the reasons for our opinion in the thesis statement in terms intro paragraph?

  I suggest that if it is a question asking, “Do you agree or disagree?” you do.
  For other types of opinion essays, like “Do the advatges outweigh the disadvantages” I recommend that you just give your opinion in the introduction and leave out the specific reasons.
