What is the main structure of the task 2 essay? Should I provide my position in the first or last paragraph?

The position is essentially what you will say about the topic. It should be stated in the introduction and conclusion.
let’s say you are asked the extent you agree..in the introduction and conclusion you should respond with words like
      “I totally agree”
      “I completely believe”

To get to band 9 requires:

        1. native-like writing ability in order to have natural language usage throughout the asks

        2. Understanding of the test to effectively respond to all the requirements for band 9. You can see the criteria here:

        3. luck with the topic, your performance on the day, and the examiner’s assessment of your performance

How can I develop my ideas whenever I do not have relevant examples?

There are a few ways to develop your ideas, other than giving examples:
        1. Explain your ideas. This is often best done by starting off with a very general explanation and then getting more specific.
        2. adding details
        3. contrasting it with an alternative situation.

The different ways of developing your ideas are explained more fully here:

Hello Mike, I am facing difficulties in writing task 2 structure, could you guide me?

Some IELTs guide books recommend that examinees avoid some cliches such as “Some people believe” and “On one hand, on the other hand.” But I feel the impressions on those expressions vary from grader to grader and some of the greatest essays actually include those phrases. What is your take on this? Shouldn’t we, non-native speakers, pay too much attention to that? Or do we have to take the usage into more consideration?

It’s true that opinions on clichés can vary among graders. While some may prefer more original phrasing, others might not mind as long as the essay is well-structured and clear. It’s generally a good idea to avoid overused expressions to make your writing stand out, but don’t stress too much. Focus on clarity and coherence, and use clichés sparingly if they help convey your point effectively.

“On one hand, on the other hand.” is seldom used by native writers but often used by low-level IELTS writers; it is best avoided.

“Some people believe” is often given in the instructions and best rephrased as:
        • Many argue that…

        • There is a common perception that…

        • Some individuals hold the view that…

        • It is widely considered that

The main structure of a Task 2 IELTS essay typically includes:

Introduction: Clearly state the topic and your thesis (your main argument).
Body Paragraphs: Develop your argument with supporting evidence and examples. Each paragraph should focus on a specific point.
Conclusion: Summarize your main points and restate your thesis.
It’s generally recommended to present your position in the introduction. This gives the reader a clear understanding of your stance from the beginning and guides the rest of your essay.

Hi, I am one of those who have good band in listening and reading (above 7) and lower score in writing and speaking, specially second one; and it’s not about knowledge. My mind is very tidy and organised, so I can’t produce content instantly. My question is, Can I find an optimized and step-by-step procedure to write GT tasks?

It is best to learn vocabulary in context. A great way is to learn vocabulary by reading model essay answers on a variety of topics.
This way you can not only learn vocabulary but also how to respond to task instructions and structure your essays.

I do not think there is a definitive answer to this question.
However, if you only need band 7 it is like the agree/disagree essay.
I also think the two-question essay is easy. See different types here:
