In the computer-based IELTS Listening test, it is recommended to type your answers directly into the answer boxes while listening rather than waiting until the end. Here’s why:
1. Time Constraints
You only have 2 minutes at the end to review your answers. Unlike the paper-based test, this time is insufficient to transfer multiple answers from notes or rough work.
2. Efficiency
Typing answers directly while listening ensures that you don’t forget them or make errors while transferring under time pressure.
3. Opportunity to Review
Using the 2 minutes at the end to review and check spelling or grammar is more effective than trying to input answers during that time.
