Write a letter to this friend. In your letter:

Hi Jim,
I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to reach out because I have some exciting news about coming to Australia and request your assistance in job hunting.

I have been accepted to complete my PhD in finance at Canberra University starting next semester. I am thrilled to have this opportunity and I cannot wait to experience the culture and immerse myself in the education system over there.

One of the things I am hoping to do while there is to get a part-time job. I know it sounds ambitious, but it is important for me to have some extra spending money, and I also think it would be a great way to meet new people and gain some valuable work experience.
I was wondering if you could help me out with finding something suitable. I figured you would have some inside knowledge about where to look for part-time jobs for students. If you could give me some tips, or even introduce me to someone who could help me out, I would really appreciate it.

Anyway, I cannot wait to see you and catch up when I am there

You and some friends ate a meal at a restaurant to celebrate a special occasion and you were very pleased with the food and service.
Write a letter to the restaurant manager. In your letter:
* give details of your visit to the restaurant

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my gratitude for the wonderful experience my family and I had at your restaurant recently.

Our reservation was for the evening of May 20th. We were greeted warmly by your staff upon our arrival and were promptly seated at a comfortable river-view table.
We were celebrating my nephew’s graduation and chose your restaurant as the venue for our special occasion. We were determined to treat our daughter to the finest cuisine and ambiance in the city as a reward for her hard work.

All aspects of the meal were delightful. The service throughout the evening was impeccable, with our waiter, John, being attentive to our needs and ensuring that our glasses were always full. The food was outstanding with the highlights being our main course of seafood risotto, which was cooked to perfection and had such a rich, authentic flavor. Moreover, the chocolate lava cake was a perfect end to the meal.

I look forward to dining in your restaurant again soon.
