IELTS Writing Task 1 is not about giving opinions or explaining reasons. It is about describing the visual information clearly and accurately.

To get a better score, you need to:

✅ understand the chart, map, diagram or process
✅ write a clear overview
✅ select the most important features
✅ use accurate numbers and comparisons
✅ organise your report logically
✅ avoid unnecessary details
✅ check your grammar, spelling and word count

Remember: in Task 1, you should describe, not explain. Focus on the main trends, key features and accurate data.
